High above the world, where the skies are painted in shades of blue, lived a small, fluffy cloud named Wisp. Wisp was different from the other clouds. While they were content to drift along and occasionally make rain, Wisp had always wondered if clouds could do something more... something colorful.

"Why are we always just white or gray?" Wisp asked an older cloud named Cumulus one day.

Cumulus chuckled. "That's just how clouds are, little one. We bring rain and snow. We provide shade. That's our purpose."

But Wisp wasn't satisfied with that answer. In the evenings, when the sun began to set, Wisp noticed how the sunlight turned the sky into a canvas of oranges, pinks, and purples. And sometimes, after a rainstorm, something magical would appear in the sky—a beautiful arch of colors that humans called a "rainbow."

"I wish I could create something that beautiful," Wisp sighed.

One day, a wise old thundercloud named Storm rumbled by. Seeing Wisp gazing longingly at a fading rainbow, Storm paused.

"You know," Storm said in a deep, gentle voice, "rainbows come from the partnership between rain and sunlight. When raindrops catch the light just right, they split it into all those beautiful colors."

This gave Wisp an idea. If raindrops and sunlight together could create rainbows, perhaps a cloud could learn to do something similar!

For days, Wisp practiced. When the sun was shining, Wisp would try to catch the light, holding it gently within fluffy cloud edges. Then, very carefully, Wisp would release tiny droplets of rain—not enough to fall to the ground, but enough to dance within the cloud body.

At first, nothing happened. But Wisp didn't give up. Day after day, Wisp practiced until finally, something magical occurred. As the sunlight filtered through the suspended droplets within Wisp's cloud body, colors began to appear! Reds, oranges, yellows, greens, blues, indigos, and violets swirled within Wisp, turning the once-white cloud into a floating rainbow.

The other clouds were amazed. They had never seen anything like it before!

"How did you do that?" they asked in wonder.

Wisp was happy to share the secret, and soon, many clouds were learning to create colors within themselves. On sunny days after light rain showers, the sky would fill with multicolored clouds, bringing joy to all who looked up.

Down below, a little girl named Lucy, who had been having a sad day, looked up and saw the rainbow clouds. Her face broke into a wide smile as she pointed them out to her mother.

"Look, Mom! The clouds are wearing rainbow colors today!"

Wisp, floating overhead, felt a warmth that had nothing to do with the sunlight. By following a dream and being creative, this little cloud had found a special way to bring color and happiness to the world.

And from that day on, people everywhere would occasionally look up after a light rain to see the sky filled with rainbow clouds—a reminder that even the smallest among us can find unique ways to make the world more beautiful.
